CHBS Spelling Bee

Congratulations to Karen Thomas, 7th grade, and Jared Havard, 8th grade for winning in the 2007-2008 CHBS Spelling Bee which was held on Dec. 5, 2007. Karen was our overall Spelling Bee winner and Jared was our runner up.

Both students went on to compete in the AISA District Spelling Bee which was held at North Mobile Christian School on Jan. 29, 2008. They both received 1st place. Karen received 1st place for the 7th grade level and Jared received 1st place for the 8th grade level.

Karen also competed in the 2008 Mobile County Spelling Bee, in the 2008 AISA State Level Competition, and in the 2008 Birmingham News Alabama Spelling Bee.
