Math Team
The Math Team is an academic team involving students in grades 7 and 8 which compete in regional, district, and state math competitions. In 2008, The CHBS Middle School Math Team competed in the 2008 District II Math Competition at Faith Acadmey and came in 1st place. Rachel Ragland, 8th grade, was the Disrict II Champion with the Highest Individual Score. The team went on to compete in the 2008 AISA State Competition and came in 2nd place. Rachel received 2nd place as Highest Individual Scorer.
In 2007, The Math Team won 1st place when they competed in the 2007 AISA District Level Competition which was held at Faith Academy. At this event, 8th grader, Blake Martin, finished as Highest Individual Scorer. The team also came in 1st place in the 2007 AISA State Math Competition which was held at Faulkner University. Eighth grader, Michael Raleigh finished as Highest Individual Scorer.
