Operation Christmas Child
Samaritan's Purse is a
Christian organization that was developed to give physical
and
spiritual
help
to victims of war, disease,
famine, poverty, and
natural
disasters around the world.
SP has several ongoing mission projects, but Operation
Christmas
Child is one that takes place
around the holiday season. Each
Christmas,
Operation
Christmas
Child
sends
millions of
gift
filled
boxes
and
Christian literature to needy children all over the world.
Through the shoe boxes, SP shares the joy of Christmas and introduces
the
word
of
Jesus
Christ to the recipients and their family members.
The Builders Club felt that Operation Christmas Child was a great mission project,
so they decided they wanted to be a part of it.
With your help and support, they
will be able to fill shoe
boxes with small toys, school
supplies,
coloring books, combs,
candies,
and
many other
things they think a child would like.
Even
though
they
do
not
know who will receive their gift, they are hoping it will bring joy and hope
to the
child
that
receives
it.
"Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great
joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you a Savior, who is
Christ the Lord."
(Luke 2:10-11, NKJV)
