Our middle school program at Cottage Hill Baptist School, composed of grades 6, 7, and 8, offers curriculum and instructional strategies and activities that are based on clearly defined expectations for student performance within a safe, Christian environment. Standardized achievement scores contribute to the AISA 2008 Blue Ribbon School recognition for the Cottage Hill Baptist School System. Middle school student scores are also used as qualifying components of the Duke Talent Search for students in 7th grade.
The elective component of the seven classes per day seeks to expand the interests and talents of students, especially in grades 7 and 8. Bible is a required course at all middle school grade levels. Advanced placement in mathematics classes in grades 7 and 8 is achieved through pre-algebra and algebra courses.
A wide variety of extra curricular activities are available for students. These opportunities focus on academics, sports, technology, fine arts, and other student interest areas. These extra curricular activities afford our students the opportunity for county, district, and state competitions.
