First Grade
Our first grade program offers a wonderful transition from K5 to offer our students a fun and well rounded first grade experience. We teach A Beka Phonics, Language, Math, Handwriting, and the Houghton Mifflin reading program. Science and social studies units are exciting and give our students many opportunities to express their creativity.
Though academics are important, our students’ spiritual growth is our number one priority. Everything that we teach our students is Christ centered. Biblical integration is woven throughout each subject. We, as first grade teachers, provide spiritual, academic, and social guidance for our students. We love your children as if they were our own. Our first grade program at Cottage Hill Baptist School is second to none. The first rule of our classrooms is: “Be kind to one another….” Philippians 4:32.
