Math Team

The Math Team competes against other AISA schools in a district and state level competition.  Our team qualifies for state competition by placing first in district.  The highest scorer from the non-winning team also competes at state.  The dates for the following competitions are listed below and neither will conflict with mid-winter break. 

The District competition is February 11, 2008. 
The State competition is February 19, 2008.

Math Team Requirements

1. Must be a Junior or Senior
2. Must be a Member of Mu Alpha Theta
3. Have completed or be enrolled in Honors Trig/Pre-Cal
4. Complete four Math packets: September 28, October 26, November 16, and December 7.  You can find these packets in Coach Swagart’s room on his bulletin board.
5. An exam on January 8 will help determine the final team.  Coach Swagart holds the right to select the team.
