AISA Honor Scholarship to AISA high school seniors who has a 20 ACT score – half-tuition to Huntingdon College in Montgomery. Visit www.hungtingdon.edu.
Mobile-West Rotary Club essay scholarship for seniors attending a local college in the fall – University of South Alabama, University of Mobile, or Springhill. Applications are in the Guidance Office. Deadline to apply is April 25.

Scholar-athletes may apply for the Body by Milk scholarship. The milk mustache ads are looking for the "Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year". Applications and official rules are available at www.sammy.bodybymilk.com until March 7. 2008.

Scholarship information is in the Guidance Office for children and grand children of war veterans. See Mrs. Lang for an information sheet. The Alabama American Legion deadline is May 1 and the Alabama Auxiliary deadline is April 1.
Memorial Scholarships available in the Guidance Office from the Police Benevolent Foundation for any senior whose parent was killed in the line of duty. March 1 is the deadline to apply.

Auburn University 2008 Summer Academic Camps: Brochure is posted on Guidance Bulletin Board outside the Dining Hall. Check listings for specific dates and web sites.
Naval Academy Summer Seminar application process is now open. Any junior interested in a Naval Academy appointment should visit www.usna.edu/Admissions/nass.htm or see Mrs. Lang.

The University of Alabama 2008 Capstone Business Leadership Academy Summer Program information is in the Guidance Office. Visit www.cba.ua.edu/summeracademy.
Alabama’s Governors School applications are in the Guidance Office. Any interested junior should see Mrs. Lang. This is an opportunity to attend seminars and work sessions to enhance leadership and vision skills. The program theme is “America Vision: World View”.
Applications for the Summer Scrubs Program have arrived. Any rising junior or senior interested in the medical profession should apply. Deadline is April 4.
2007-2008 School Year
Reminder:
The Military Selective Service Act requires that young men register with the Selective Service when they reach the age of eighteen. The act of registering has been made very easy. You may register on-line at http://www.sss.gov and click on the "Register Now" icon when it is displayed. The name, Social Security number, and date of birth must be entered in the blanks provided, click on the "Submit" button which appears on the screen, and a Selective Service number will be given on the screen. A postcard acknowledgement will be received in about two weeks. You may also pick up a registration card at the Post Office. This must be done within thirty days after your eighteenth birthday.
