The fifth grade classes created a "States Wax Museum" as the culminating project for 5th grade Social Studies. This year students have learned about America's history - beginnings, geography, economy and the differences of our 50 states. Each student chose one of the states for research and reporting. Students set up state displays in Heritage Hall, dressed to represent a state, and then stood and waited for someone to "press" their button which prompted them to give their 2-3 minute speech about their state. Students, parents, faculty and staff all enjoyed learning more about the 50 states and capitals. It was a wonderful event and a great learning experience for all in attendance.
